In the fall of 1993 Nick, Wei-min, Andy, Chris and I saw some band (the name escapes me) fronted by Nick Hammer, with Adam Steglitz on Guitar and Mike Devito on drums. Maybe that jerk with the dobro was on bass. Anyhow, we saw this group, which at the time was the equivalent of an audioslave/velvet revolver super group as far as the Great Neck music scene went, and thought the thought:
Thusly, Local Girl My Ass was born, and shit we did. Provided for your listening pleasure is the one and only official local girl album, dubbed from high fidelity cassette, “You’re All Too Powerful Fighters.”
